A significant moment of the day was the meeting between FASCA DC students and former Maryland Governor Larry Hogan. This interaction underscored the importance of building connections between Taiwanese-American youth and influential American political figures. The students engaged in meaningful conversations with Hogan, discussing the role of Taiwanese-Americans in public affairs and the importance of civic engagement.
The event emphasized the active participation of Taiwanese communities in mainstream American activities, encouraging the younger generation to take an active role in public policy and directly engage with political candidates.
