Taipei, May 28 (CNA) Ministry of Labor plans to hold more than 130 events countrywide to help young people find jobs during the graduating season from late May to September.

According to a survey on employment of young people aged 15 to 29, 54 percent of them think that the biggest problem in finding their first job is they don't know what kind of work best suit them.

That's why the ministry is organizing activities including seminar, forums, and company visits, in coordination with middle schools, high schools and universities, to help young job seekers find jobs.

One of the events will be hosted by Matilda Tao in Kaohsiung on June 23. The TV personality will share her experience of how to get through fear and overcome difficulties with perseverance and courage to live a full life.

In another event, in Taichung on July 8, entertainer Sandy Wu will talk about courage and making choices.

Other events include how to write a good resume, workplace experience, and enterprise management models, according to a news release by the ministry last Tuesday.

The ministry reminds young job seekers that they need to know their rights as a worker and avoid falling into pitfalls while seeking a job.

Young job seekers can find related information on the government-sponsored website taiwanjobs.gov.tw.
