Taipei, June 13 (CNA) Tickets for the 2017 Summer Universiade in Taipei went on sale Tuesday, with tickets to baseball games selling at the fastest pace, according to the Taipei Universiade Organizing Committee.
As of 3:35 p.m. that day, 61 percent of the tickets to the Aug. 19 opening ceremony at the Taipei Stadium, 37 percent of the tickets to the Aug. 30 closing ceremony, and 27,766 tickets to sports events had been sold, the committee said.
The three most popular sports events were baseball, basketball and athletics, with 6,410 tickets, 6,216 tickets and 5,013 tickets sold, respectively, the committee said.
The tickets went on sale at noon that day on the official website of the Universiade, as well as at ticketing machines of 7-Eleven, Hi-Life and OK Mart convenience stores.
