Taipei, Aug. 12 (CNA) Taiwan has won four gold medals at the IKF Asia U19 & U16 Korfball4 Championship being held in Hong Kong, according to the Chinese Taipei Korfball Association.
Taiwan's U19 team won titles in the one field with one basket and one field with two baskets events after beating their Hong Kong rivals in the championship games 17-2 and 13-4, respectively, the association said in a statement issued Saturday.
Taiwan's U16 team also defeated teams from host Hong Kong in the championship games of the one field with one basket and one field with two baskets events 10-4 and 20-3, respectively, to take gold, it said.
A total of six countries and regions are participating in the regional korfball championships. The other four nations are China, Indonesia, the Philippines and Singapore.
