Taipei, Aug. 17 (CNA) An international music festival, featuring performances by renowned pop stars and bands, which started on July 1 on the offshore island of Kinmen, has been a big hit with visitors and local residents, according to a statement issued by the county tourism department.
In order to attract even more visitors, particularly students, to musical performances on Houhu Beach, the organizers of the 2017 Quemoy International Music Festival have decided to add a concert on Sunday Aug. 20, after the one scheduled for Saturday, the statement said. The two concerts slated for this weekend will be held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., it added.
In addition to the musical performances, there are also numerous food stalls and carnival games on the beach, offering visitors a wide range of delicacies and amusements to enjoy, the statement noted.
