Taipei, Aug. 21 (CNA) Taiwanese athletes snatched the top two spots in the women's roller sports 300 meter preliminary on Monday.
The competition took place at a roller rink at Taipei City's Yingfeng Riverside Park and featured 17 athletes, the 12 fastest progressing to the final later today.
With a time of 25.803 seconds, Taiwan's Chen Ying-chu finished in first place, followed by teammate Li Meng-Chu with 26.596 seconds.
The women's roller sports 300 meter final will feature Chen, Li and 10 other contestants from South Korea, Colombia, Italy, Hong Kong, Japan, Switzerland and Hungary.
The men's roller sports 300 meter preliminary took place earlier, with Taiwan's Sung Ching-yang and Kao Mao-chieh moving into the finals, also later Monday.
