Taipei, Aug. 30 (CNA) A U.S. congressional delegation arrived in Taiwan Wednesday to meet with government officials to discuss issues of mutual interest to both countries, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) stated in a press release that day.
The 12-member group, led by Representative Ed Royce, chairman of the House Committee on Foreign Affairs, will participate in a range of meetings with Taiwanese officials from Aug. 30-Sept 2.
The bipartisan delegation includes representatives Ted Yoho, Ami Bera and Jenniffer Gonzalez-Colon, all of whom have track records of supporting Taiwan in domestic and international issues.
This is Royce's fifth visit to Taiwan since becoming chairman.
