Taipei, Sept. 7 (CNA) The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) said Thursday that it has found a new location for its trade mission in Nigeria, which was asked earlier this year to move out of the capital Abuja.

Taiwan will relocate its trade mission in Nigeria to Lagos City, a financial and commercial hub, according to Antonio Chen, director general of MOFA's Department of West Asia and African Affairs.

By the end of the year, the trade office will be set up in temporary premises in Lagos, Chen said at a press briefing, adding that another move will be made early next year, when a suitable property is expected to become available for long-term lease.

The Trade Mission of the Republic of China (Taiwan) in Nigeria, which was located in Abuja, has been scrambling to find a new office since January after the Nigerian government ordered it to move out of the capital.
