Brussels, Sept. 8 (CNA) Over 1,000 hospital managers, medical professionals, and other health care industry representatives from 20 countries will attend the World Hospital Congress in Taipei this November to share knowledge, expertise, and experience on hospital management.

Kao Hsiao-lin, a consultant for the Taiwan Hospital Association, told CNA on Friday that this will be the first time that the World Hospital Congress, the International Hospital Federation's (IHF) cornerstone event, will be hosted in Taiwan.

That is of special significance for Taiwan, Kao noted, as the IHF works closely with the World Health Organization, an international agency that Taiwan has been keen to take part in.

Kao also commented on a press conference she attended in Geneva on Wednesday during which she promoted the 2017 World Health Congress alongside IHF's Director General Eric de Roodenbeke.

She said she told everyone present that as "the country with the best health care system in the world," Taiwan is willing and eager to share its technique and technology with the global community
