Taipei, Sept. 11 (CNA) A walking tour of historic buildings and landmarks in Taipei's Wanhua District is set to take place Tuesday.
The city's Department of Urban Development issued a press release Monday to promote the walking tour, dubbed the "Wanhua Adventure," which will take place Tuesday from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
The tour, organized by the Wanhua Share Vision organization, will start at Ximending's Red House and take participants to the Xi Ben Yuan (Nishi Honganji) Temple, Chao-Bei Hospital, and other historic and cultural sites in the district, one of Taipei's oldest.
According to the department, the tour will allow participants to explore the historic roads of the district while taking note of places that are in need of renovation.
Currently, 20 people have signed up for the tour, the department noted.
Following the tour, Wanhua Share Vision will host a hands-on activity Sept. 19 from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at its studio in the district to let participants experiment with community planning for a revitalization project for the area.
Participants will be able to use their imagination, using miniature models of furniture and buildings to design the district, under the instruction of architect Hsu Pai-chung.
