Taipei, Sept. 15 (CNA) The Tourism Bureau said Friday that no Taiwanese tourists have been reported injured in an explosion at a London subway station, and Taiwan's representative office in the U.K. has also not been notified of any Taiwanese being hurt in the blast.
The bombing should not have much of an impact on Taiwanese tourists because most Taiwanese tour groups take tour buses instead of the subway when they travel around London, the bureau said.
According to the BBC, an "improvised explosive device" was detonated on a Tube train at Parsons Green station in southwest London during rush hour, and the blast is being treated as terrorism by the police.
At least 22 people were being treated, most for burn injuries, as of Friday morning (London time), the BBC reported.
