Taipei, March 22 (CNA) Taiwan's central bank decided Thursday not to adjust its key interest rates, which means its benchmark discount rate will remain at 1.375 percent.
At its quarterly policymaking meeting, the bank also decided to keep its rates on accommodations against secured loans and on temporary accommodations at the existing levels of 1.75 percent and 3.625 percent, respectively.
It was the seventh consecutive quarter that the bank retained its key interest rates, a decision that was widely expected at its first policymaking meeting under its new governor, Yang Chin-long, who took office in February.
