


Since the launch of the www.huayuworld.org web site in 2008, the number of Mandarin-language teachers from all over the world to write a blog has surpassed 10,000, providing proof of the wealth of talent and of the professional teaching abilities present in Mandarin teaching overseas. In order to let members of the web site be even more enthusiastic about sharing resources, to build a varied blog environment, and to encourage even more Mandarin teachers to show their creativity and vitality, the Overseas Compatriot Affairs Commission held a special blog competition under the name of “Excellent Mandarin Class, Excitement Without Limits.”
「全球華文網」自2008年開站以來,擁有來自全球的華語文教師開設部落格超過一萬個,充分展現海外華語文教學的豐沛能量及專業教學知能,為使全球華文網的會員更活躍於資源共享,打造多元豐富的部落格型態,並能鼓勵更多海內外華語文教學者發揮創意、展現活力,僑委會特別舉辦「華文優格 精采無限」優良教學部落格大賽。
After a fierce competition, the organizers thanked the 50 participants for unselfishly sharing the fruits of the digital teaching of Mandarin. Through the contributions of the competitors, the event elicited the unlimited creativity of the digital teaching of the Chinese language.
經過激烈的競賽,主辦單位非常感謝50位參賽者不吝分享華語文數位教學之經營成果,本次大賽透過參賽者的貢獻與分享,激發出華語文數位教學無限創意。
In this competition, the excellence prize went to the “Passing on the Torch of Teaching” blog by San Francisco, California area teacher Henny Chen. Chen has had experience both in mainstream schools and in schools for overseas compatriots. The pieces on her blog are not only substantial, but also have depth and a strong originality making it worth for Mandarin teachers to read and study. On the interactivity side, the blog brings together exchanges and discussions by teachers, resulting in high praise and a positive grading by members of the contest jury. In addition, the blog also received 7,318 votes in the popularity poll, winning the prize for highest popularity and giving further proof of the enthusiastic reception that teacher Chen met on the Internet. You could say she is the superstar idol of the www.huayuworld.org web site.
這次大賽中,獲得優勝獎的部落格是美國金山地區陳姮良老師的「教學傳遞聖火」。兼具主流學校與僑校教學經驗的陳老師,部落格文章不但充實又有深度,且原創性強,值得華文教學者參考、學習。在互動上,部落格中凝聚許多華語教師在此交流與討論,獲得所有評審委員高度的讚賞與肯定。此外,「教學傳遞聖火」部落格於人氣投票獲得7,318票的高票支持,獲得最佳人氣獎,更可看出陳老師在網路世界相當受歡迎,可以說是「全球華文網」的超人氣偶像!
The winner of the award for the best education content design was the “All New Mandarin Volume No.7” by teacher Kerman Chen from the Irvine area in California. Her blog’s main theme is clear, and features self-made class activities and links to relevant resources, turning the site into a welcoming place for after-class games and rehearsals by students.
拿到最佳教學內容設計獎的是美國爾灣地區陳克曼老師的「全新版華語第七冊」。陳老師的部落格主軸清楚,並搭配自製的課堂活動與相關資源連結,是學生們課後遊戲與複習流連忘返網路園地。
The award for creativity went to Vancouver, Canada-based teacher Wang Miao-ju’s blog “Union Mandarin School.” The jury said the web site had a strong design and a perfect structure. The blog also combined the functions of promotion, sharing and news transmission, turning it into a representative model of a practical blog for schools.
而獲得最佳創意獎的是加拿大溫哥華王妙如老師的「聯合中文學校」部落格。評審指出,該網站的設計性強、結構完整。部落格中也兼具行銷、分享和訊息傳遞的功能,堪稱學校應用部落格模式的代表作。
The OCAC said that through this blog competition, it was not only possible to feel the unbridled enthusiasm of teachers at home and abroad for the teaching of Mandarin, but also to appreciate the range of creativity that they use in their blogs. Under the skillful use by the teachers, the blogs can function as contact points, as personal diaries of teaching, or even better as spaces for the exchange of information. These blog treasures will all become the best sources of inspiration and information for Mandarin education workers. The OCAC thanks all teachers for helping to grow the www.huayuworld.org site, making its digital Mandarin education content even richer.
