Taipei, April 22 (CNA) Taiwan's top tennis player Lu Yen-hsun advanced to the final of 2017 Santaizi ATP Challenger after defeating Vasek Pospisil from Canada in the semifinals of the tournament Saturday in Taipei, recording his first win over the Canadian in four matches.
Cheered on by a supportive home crowd, Lu beat Pospisil 6-4, 6-4 to clinch a berth in the finals of the US$125,000 tournament.
Lu had lost all three of his previous matches against Pospisil, most recently at this year's Indian Wells Masters (6-7 (6), 6-4, 6-3) and twice in 2015.
