Taipei, June 20 (CNA) Taiwan on Sunday reported 109 new cases of COVID-19, all but two of which were domestically transmitted, as well as 11 deaths from the disease, according to the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC).

The new cases brought the total number in Taiwan to 14,005, of which over 12,600 are domestic infections reported since May 15, when the country first recorded more than 100 cases in a single day.

The 11 deaths were five men and six women, aged 40-100, who passed away between June 15 and June 18, the CECC said.

To date, 549 people in Taiwan have died of COVID-19, including 537 since May 15.
