A-Hui’s real name is Chen Hui-jin. She was born and brought up in Taiwan but went to live in Paraguay when her husband was posted there for work in 2018.
When she first heard of Paraguay, A-hui had no idea where it was, only later finding out the country actually has diplomatic relations with Taiwan. There is very little information in Chinese online about Paraguay, so she decided to use Facebook and YouTube to record aspects of her life there as well as sharing information about Paraguay so that more people know about the country.
She began recording her Podcast in June this year. Together with her husband, she uses a conservational method to discuss various themes related to life in Paraguay,including the highs and lows of living overseas, local festivals, South American news, Paraguay trivia, and Paraguay’s COVID-19 situation. Quite a few people leave comments after hearing her show, sharing their own experiences of life in Latin America, allowing the different customs and conditions in the region to be compared.
