Taipei, Jan. 20 (CNA) The Taipei and Taoyuan city governments on Thursday published a list of places visited by nine individuals recently confirmed with COVID-19, including stores, banks, clinics and schools.

The nine cases are all linked to a larger outbreak of the disease in Taoyuan, which has spread through a Tasty steakhouse in Zhongli District, a branch of the Union Bank of Taiwan, the Washington Kindergarten and Xinjie Elementary School.

Taoyuan

Some of the places in Taoyuan City visited by the nine COVID-19 patients Jan. 8-17 included the TaiMall shopping center in Luzhu District, PX Mart Heping Branch in Pingzhen District, and Shin Kong Mitsukoshi department store in Taoyuan District, the city government said.

It also listed Siwei Children's Park in Yangmei District; Yuanta Bank's Zhongli Branch; Taichung Commercial Bank, also in Yangmei; and Capital Securities Corp., an asset management firm in Zhongli.

According to the city government, some of the patients traveled on the Taiwan High Speed Rail between Taoyuan and Taipei Jan. 14-15.

On Jan. 17, one of the patients took intercity bus No. 717 (United Bus) from Daqian Township Station in Taoyuan to Yongning MRT Station in Tucheng District, New Taipei, according to the Taoyuan City government.

Members of the public who were at any of those locations on the dates listed are advised to monitor their health for 14 days and call the 1922 hotline to arrange a test if they develop COVID-19 symptoms, the city government said.

Taipei

In Taipei, meanwhile, the city government said Thursday that at least three of the nine patients had visited two clinics in the city's Tatung District and Soochow University campus in Zhongzhen District, as well as the Uni-President Department Store, Breeze Xin Yi shopping mall and Chun Shui Tang restaurant at the National Concert Hall.

Some 31 people who came into contact with the individual who visited the two clinics in Taipei on Jan. 10 and 15 are now in quarantine, and three of them have tested negative for the disease so far, according to Taipei Department of Health official Ou Chia-ling (歐佳齡).

The individual who visited Soochow University was a man in his 40s attending class on Jan. 15, and the 65 contacts identified in that case are all in quarantine, with six testing negative to date, Ou said.

The individual who visited the Uni-President Department Store and Breeze Xin Yi shopping mall went there on Jan. 10, while the person who visited Chun Shui Tang restaurant at the National Concert Hall dined there on Jan. 17. All of these places have been closed on Thursday or will be closed in the following days for disinfection.
