Taipei, Oct. 15 (CNA) Taiwanese weightlifter Lo Ying-yuan (羅楹湲) hauled two silver and one bronze medal in the women's 87-kilogram category on Friday at the 2022 Asian Weightlifting Championships being held in Manama, Bahrain.
Lo took third place with 110kg to collect bronze in the snatch, finishing behind Ankhtsetseg Munkhjantsan from Mongolia with 114kg, and Tursonoy Jabborova from Uzbekistan with 112kg.
Munkhjantsan became the overall winner in the category following her sweeping performance of 114kg-135kg-249kg, collecting all three gold medals.
In the clean and jerk, Lo won silver with 133kg, while her compatriot Tian Chia-hsin (田佳欣) came in third place with 131kg.
Lo capped her women's 87kg category medal tally with another silver by securing a total of 243kg, just edging over Jabborova's 242kg.
Taiwan's performance in the women's 87kg category tallied a total of two silver and two bronze medals.
Lo's 110kg in the snatch broke Taiwan's national record of 106kg, which she set at the World Weightlifting Championships in 2019.
Lo's total of 243kg also broke Taiwan's national record of 235kg, which she set last year at the National University and College Athletic Games.
So far, Taiwan has tallied a total of four silvers and three bronzes at the 2022 Asian Weightlifting Championships.
Earlier, Lin Cheng-jing (林呈璟) won two silver medals for lifting 102kg in the clean and jerk and producing a total of 181kg in the women's 49kg event, while Li Wei-chia (李偉嘉) collected a clean and jerk bronze with 111kg in the women's 64kg category.
The 2022 Asian Weightlifting Championships, being held Oct. 6-16, is the 50th men's and 31st women's championship.
