Taipei, June 13 (CNA) Japan is the most popular travel destination among Taiwanese tourists planning their upcoming summer vacation, according to a survey conducted by Klook, a Hong Kong-based travel booking platform, on Tuesday.
Among top attractions in Japan are Warner Bros. Studio Tour Tokyo – The Making of Harry Potter, which is set to open on June 16 and become the largest indoor Harry Potter attraction in the world and the first Warner Bros. Studio Tour to open in Asia, according to Klook.
Other attractions include Shibuya Sky, an observation area 229 meters above the bustling city of Shibuya, and teamLab Planets TOKYO, an art facility touting immersive experiences, it said.
In addition, driving holidays involving renting a vehicle on arrival in Japan have also become increasingly popular, with top destinations to visit including Okinawa and Hokkaido.
Rounding out the top three countries to visit are Thailand and South Korea, Klook said, adding that Taiwanese tourists have also shown particular interest in visiting the United States, France, Italy and the United Kingdom.
