Taipei, July 13 (CNA) Taipei-based Eva Air was ranked the 10th best international airline in 2023 by the readers of U.S. magazine Travel + Leisure, the airline said Thursday.

Five of Travel + Leisure readers' 10 favorite international airlines of 2023 are in Asia, according to the results of its reader's top 10 choices released by the New York-based magazine on July 11.

In a statement released Thursday, Eva Air said it has been finding ways in recent years to create more convenient and comfortable flying experiences for its passengers, including enhancing digital transformation in services, rolling out brand new Giorgio Armani amenity kits for business class passengers and all-new amenity kits by Furla and Kipling for premium economy class passengers on the carrier's long-haul services.

It also boasted of offering an updated version of sleepwear designed by international well-known designer Jason Wu (吳季剛) for its business class passengers on long-haul flights.

This year, the airline collaborated for the first time with a Taichung-based Cantonese restaurant and akeruE Dessert in Taipei to serve special meals and desserts for passengers, according to the statement.

The other four Asian carriers making the top 10 list are Singapore Airlines (No. 4), All Nippon Airways (No. 5), Japan Airlines (No. 7) and Cathay Pacific Airways (No. 8).

At the top of the list is the boutique French airline La Compagnie, with Emirates and Qatar Airways ranked No. 2 and No. 3, respectively, and French Polynesian carrier Air Tahiti Nui No. 6 and British airline Virgin Atlantic No. 9.

Every year for its World's Best Awards survey, Travel + Leisure asks readers to weigh in on a broad range of travel experiences around the globe by rating airlines, hotels, cruise ships, resorts, cities, islands, and more.

Nearly 165,000 of its readers completed the 2023 survey, an increase of nearly 25 percent over pre-pandemic voting levels. A total of more than 685,000 votes were cast across over 8,500 unique properties (hotels, cities, cruise lines, etc.), according to the magazine's website.
