The Taiwanese Emergency Assistance Association in Ireland (TEAAI) orchestrated a day of insightful learning and savoury indulgence in Dublin on the 12th of August. The basic life-saving workshop on CPR and Choking Management was followed by the first TEAAI AGM during the lunch break, leaving the Taiwanese community nourished in body and spirit.

The event led by the experienced neonatal ICU nurse, Ms Shu-Han Chang from Taiwan. The interactive session not only enriched attendees' CPR knowledge but also left them empowered to respond to emergencies with confidence. The workshop ended with an award-winning quiz and encouraging feedback from the participants.

The event was followed by the first-ever TEAAI Annual General Meeting (AGM), while everyone was served with a culinary feast of an authentic Cantonese array of dim sum during lunchtime. The chairperson of TEAAI, Dr Ming-Chih Tsai, unfolded the association's financial trajectory and activity milestones spanning the past 18 months. Attendees engaged actively, contributing insights on fundraising and perspectives to shape the path forward. Many shared their experience of the Irish versus the Taiwanese NHI Healthcare system and gave very useful suggestions to the new immigrants. The AGM underscored the organization's commitment to transparency and collective decision-making.

As the event culminated with laughter and conversation, the overwhelmingly positive comments reinforced the success of the event. Everyone expressed appreciation for the enriching workshop and delectable cuisine. A notable sentiment was the eagerness to participate in future events, with inquiries about the next gathering already echoing through the venue. The day concluded with gratitude to Ms Shu-Han Chang for sponsoring prizes for the workshop quiz, and to the Overseas Community Affairs Council, R.O.C for sponsoring the event.
