The Taiwan Ireland Association held a grand Taiwan (ROC) 112th National Day and Mid-Autumn Luncheon on September 30th at Sheraton Hotel Athlone. This was an event of special significance aimed at strengthening the unity and support for Taiwan (ROC) among the overseas Taiwanese community, and promoting the identity of democratic Taiwan among its overseas citizens.

This year's event theme was "Democratic Taiwan, Resilient and Sustainable", emphasizing Taiwan's resilience in upholding democratic values and pursuing continuous development. The event is an important tradition of the Taiwan Ireland Association, aiming to unite the hearts of overseas citizens, as everyone gathers to celebrate the country's birthday.

Unlike previous years, this year's event was held in the central city of Athlone, to allow more overseas citizens from different regions in Ireland to participate and jointly celebrate the national day of the Taiwan (ROC) and the Mid-Autumn Festival. Over a hundred Taiwanese expatriates and Irish friends gathered for this occasion, sharing joy and friendship. The president of the Taiwan Ireland Association stated, "We are deeply honoured to hold this event at this special moment, combining both the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day. Through this event, we hope to bolster the strength of the new generation within our overseas community, reinforce the recognition and support for Taiwan, and further unite our community, solidifying the support for the Taiwan in Ireland."

On the day of the event, in addition to enjoying a delicious banquet, participants also had the opportunity to engage in various cultural performances, interactive games, and lucky draw activities. Meanwhile, Taiwanese tourism videos were played at the venue, allowing the Irish public to gain a deeper understanding of Taiwan's diversity.

The successful organization of the "Taiwan (ROC) 112th National Day and Mid-Autumn Luncheon" once again highlights the mission of the Taiwan Ireland Association, dedicated to promoting cultural exchanges, fostering friendship, and advancing mutual understanding between the two countries. In the future, the association will continue to organize events to enhance the cohesion of the Taiwanese community and further promote support for Taiwan in the Ireland.
