As summer break comes to an end, the Washington Metropolitan Association of Chinese Schools (WMACS) hosted a picnic on August 18 at Cabin John Regional Park, just outside Washington, D.C. The event attracted nearly a hundred students from local Chinese schools, as well as many alumni.
Most participants had previously taken part in various WMACS competitions or summer camps, making this picnic a wonderful opportunity for them to reunite. The reunion was filled with laughter and joy as students and alumni reminisced about old times and shared their stories.
Many of them also enjoyed a picnic feast, participated in a variety of fun games and activities, and spent a delightful time in the beautiful natural surroundings.
For many years, WMACS has been dedicated to promoting Chinese education and cultural heritage, providing students with a platform for exchange and learning through various activities. This end-of-summer reunion not only allowed students and alumni from different schools to spend a pleasant Sunday afternoon in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere but also further strengthened the community’s connection, offering more opportunities for cross-school interaction and growth for students and alumni in the Greater Washington area.
