San Diego, CA — December 14, 2024 — The San Diego and Riverside Chapters of the Formosa Association of Student Cultural Ambassadors (FASCA) came together for a lively and memorable winter party hosted by FASCA-SD at the Harvest Evangelical Church of San Diego. This festive event was a perfect blend of fun, creativity, and community-building, celebrating the winter and holiday season while fostering connections and camaraderie between the two chapters.
The day began with icebreaker activities designed to help members from both chapters get to know one another, setting the stage for the exciting lineup of events that followed. Participants were divided into random groups, mixing FASCA-SD and FASCA Riverside members. Together, they competed in holiday-themed trivia and a "guess the song" challenge, sparking cheerful competition and holiday spirit.
The festive mood continued with a talent show, where members showcased a diverse array of skills, including piano, violin, singing, dice stacking, diabolo performances, and jump rope tricks. Each act captivated the audience, inspiring and entertaining everyone present.
Adding a creative twist, the groups then participated in a cookie decorating contest. Members worked together to craft holiday-themed cookies that represented imaginative stories. This activity highlighted teamwork and creativity as participants collaborated to bring their artistic visions to life. The results were both visually stunning and delicious, embodying the collaborative spirit of the day.
A variety of delicious food and desserts graciously prepared by FASCA-SD parents adding a warm touch to the event with their heartfelt Taiwanese hospitality. The festivities continued with a lively white elephant gift exchange, which brought laughter and excitement as members picked random gifts and playfully "stole" from one another, embodying the holiday cheer.
The winter party was not only a fun and festive celebration but also a meaningful opportunity for FASCA members to strengthen their sense of community, build leadership skills, and foster creativity and teamwork, said Council Member Mr. Steve Hsieh. FASCA-SD Consulting Mentor Marian Liu also expressed pride and joy in seeing members push their boundaries, showcase diverse talents, and build friendships through their interactions during the event.
