The National Taiwan Museum (NTM) opened the exhibition “Let’s Go to the Station - Explore Architecture (來・去車站 探索建築)” on June 2 at its Railway Department Park. Running through Mar. 1, 2026, the exhibition invites visitors of all ages to explore railway station architecture through interactive games and creative workshops.
Minister of Culture Li Yuan, NTM Director Chen Teng-chin (陳登欽), Taiwan Railway Corporation Chief Engineer Chen Shih-pen (陳詩本), and other distinguished guests attended the opening ceremony.
Minister Li remarked that the exhibition highlights the facility and spatial design of train stations, encouraging young visitors to reflect on the placement of restrooms, shops, and accessibility features.
Director Chen noted that the greatest challenge in curating the exhibition was presenting the content in a manner that is both engaging and comprehensible for children, particularly in conveying the social significance of architectural design.
Chief Engineer Chen pointed out that Taiwan currently has 241 train stations with diverse characteristics, ranging from wooden structures built during the Qing Dynasty to modern stations that emphasize innovation and Taiwanese identity. He expressed his hope that younger generations will come to appreciate the fusion of history, design, and culture through the exhibition.
“Let’s Go to the Station - Explore Architecture” focuses on two main themes: “architecture” and “children.” It explores architectural knowledge through a rich array of images and videos related to train stations, as well as three interactive games with a varying level of difficulty.
