Taipei, Jan. 5 (CNA) Taiwan-based manufacturing giant Hon Hai Precision Industry Co. had annual sales of more than NT$8 trillion for the first time in 2025, helped by strong revenue growth in its cloud and networking operations.
In a statement, the AI server and iPhone assembler, known as Foxconn globally, said it generated consolidated sales of NT$8.0998 trillion (US$257 billion) in 2025, up 18.07 percent from a year earlier.
Hon Hai said that in addition to a stronger cloud and networking division performance, its 2025 sales growth was also driven by significant gains in its electronics component operations.
The computing and smart consumer electronics divisions, however, reported a decline in sales in 2025, Hon Hai said.
In the fourth quarter, the company's consolidated sales hit a quarterly record high of NT$2.6 trillion, up 22.07 percent from a year earlier and up 26.51 percent from a quarter earlier.
At an investor conference held in mid-November, Hon Hai Chairman Young Liu (劉揚偉) said shipments of the company's AI server racks were forecast to grow at a "high double-digit" pace quarter-on-quarter in the fourth quarter, and he felt that strong AI server revenue would lend support to overall sales growth in 2025.
Hon Hai also reported consolidated sales of NT$862.86 billion in December, the highest level ever for the month, up 31.77 percent from a year earlier and up 2.2 percent from a month earlier.
Looking ahead, Hon Hai said that while the information and communications technology industry was entering its slowest season in the first quarter, shipments of AI server racks were expected to continue to grow.
First quarter sales growth could also be hurt by a relatively high base of comparison from the same period last year, the company said, but revenue could still come closer to the higher end of the previous five-year range.
Meanwhile, Largan Precision Co., a supplier of smartphone camera lenses to Apple Inc., said it posted consolidated sales of NT$61.15 billion in 2025, up 3 percent from a year earlier.
It posted full-year sales growth despite seeing its fourth quarter consolidated sales fall 5 percent from a year earlier and fall 3 percent from a quarter earlier to NT$17.22 billion.
Due to slow season effects, Largan said consolidated sales in January would likely end up below the NT$5.62 billion in consolidated sales it posted in December.
Largan has scheduled an investor conference for Jan. 8 to detail its fourth quarter results and give guidance for 2026.
