Featuring the city flower of Taipei, the Taipei Azalea Festival takes place every year in March.
With the arrival of spring, azaleas are in full bloom, and together with hydrangeas, buddleias, dahlias, and lavenders, Taipei becomes enshrouded in romantic shades of pink. With Daan Forest Park as the event venue, the festival comprises of music concerts, reading tours, and handicraft classes that are held in conjunction with the surrounding businesses of the South Town Area.
Visitors are encouraged to enjoy the music and view the beautiful flowers at the “Floral Picnic,” a perfect event for family outings. A series of cultural events and art fairs injects the city with new warmth and vibrancy this spring.
