Taiwan’s export orders surged about 62% year-on-year to a record US$98 billion in July, extending growth for the 18th consecutive month. The increase was driven mainly by strong global demand for technology products amid the AI boom, while traditional sectors such as machine tools and metals also recovered from last year’s lull.
