Taiwan is pushing ahead with its energy transition, including a shift from coal to natural gas. Premier Cho Jung-tai visited the Taichung Power Plant on Friday, one of the world’s largest coal-fired power plants. Two new natural gas-fired units have now been completed and are undergoing trial operations. Once trials are complete, they will replace their coal-fired counterparts.
