On November 9th, the San Diego Chapter of the Formosa Association of Student Cultural Ambassadors (FASCA) held its first monthly meeting following recent leadership elections. Newly appointed Presidents, Ellie Chen and Willem Huang, organized team-building activities to strengthen the unity and cooperation among members.

These activities were successfully facilitated with the assistance of Senior FASCA and Assistant Mentor Adam Wang, highlighting the close collaboration between the leaders and the mentorship team. During the meeting, they collaborated with the course planning team to conduct training in leadership and communication skills, helping members enhance their abilities to work together and communicate effectively in future activities.

The meeting also provided an opportunity for members to engage in a lively discussion on the chapter’s 2025 activity plans. Members eagerly shared their ideas and suggestions for upcoming events, demonstrating enthusiasm and commitment to the chapter’s growth and development. Through an open exchange of ideas, they hope to incorporate fresh, innovative elements into next year’s programming to further enrich their mission of cultural heritage.

Additionally, the meeting included a special session on hospitality skills, preparing members for an upcoming cross-chapter gathering in December, when the Los Angeles East Chapter will be visiting. This event will allow FASCA San Diego members to showcase their hosting skills and foster cultural connections with fellow youth ambassadors from Los Angeles.

The exceptional organization and leadership displayed by the new presidents have made a strong impression, raising anticipation for their future work in guiding FASCA San Diego members to grow and excel, said the consulting mentor Peggy Han. Together, they will continue to embody FASCA’s core values of "Leadership, Service, Culture, and Heritage," and deepen their dedication to promoting Taiwanese culture.
