Traditional dental implant procedures are complicated. The procedures from pulling teeth, removing and replacing the bone, opening the sinus, implanting the body of a new tooth, and replacing the tooth need one year and a half. However, a dentist from Taiwan invented a “Five-in-One Dental Implant Method.” He broke through the traditional phased method of healing, so within one hour, he can finish the work that others need one year and a half for. That man is Dr. Leon Chen.
傳統植牙工程繁複，從拔牙、取骨補骨、開鼻竇、放入植牙體、補牙齦，往往要耗費一年半載，然而，有位來自台灣的牙醫師發明了「五合一植牙法」，打破傳統階段療法的模式，在一個小時內，他就可以完成別人一年半的工作，他就是陳俊龍。
Chen was sent by his parents to study in the United States at a very early age. He graduated from Harvard University with a Ph.D. in dentistry, but now he is the preferred dentist to the stars in Hollywood. He once received the Overseas Youth Enterprise Model Award and the Pan Shi Award for Taiwanese Enterprises Abroad. He also set the record for pulling 13 teeth and implanting 14 within 17 minutes. Dentists from Taiwan once formed a group especially to watch him perform an operation in the United States. The Dental Implant Institute which he and his wife Jennifer Cha founded has eight branches in the U.S., but is also active in Taipei and Shanghai and is planning to open branches soon in Beijing, Dubai and Tokyo.
陳俊龍從小就被送去美國當小小留學生，在哈佛大學取得牙醫博士資格的他，現在是好萊塢名人的御用牙醫師，他曾榮獲海外青年創業楷模獎、海外台商磐石獎的肯定，並創下17分鐘內拔完13顆牙，並同時植好14顆牙的紀錄，還有台灣牙醫師專門組團去美國觀摩他操刀；他與妻子車承娟所創立的植牙醫學中心在美國有8家診所，不但進駐台北、上海，也即將在北京、杜拜、東京等地開設。
The “Hydraulic Sinus Condensing” operation and the “dental lift method” have turned the traditional technique of dental implants on its head. His rapid, simple, highly successful dental implant method has not only succeeded in attracting many patients, but also surprised fellow dentists. South Korean dental implant specialists even plan to list his dental implant methods as the industry standard.
陳俊龍發明的「水壓式鼻竇式增高術」、「牙齦拉皮法」顛覆了傳統植牙技術，他快速、簡單、高成功率的植牙模式，不但成功吸引許多病患，也讓牙醫師們趨之若鶩，韓國植牙界甚至計畫將他的植牙法做為行業標準。
In the past, the traditional dental implant method was not only complete anesthesia, but there still needed to be another operation to remove the bone, creating one more injury and therefore raising the possibility of infection. Leon Chen’s “5-in-1 Method” however breaks through the limits posed by the patient’s condition. The so-called ‥5-in-1” method means performing one operation instead of five. One can complete the dental implant in just one operation, thus reducing the number of operations to the barest minimum and of course letting the body recover more quickly. Dr. Chen’s patients can go and eat immediately after the end of surgery.
過去，傳統植牙不但要全身麻醉，還要再開一刀來取骨，傷口多了一處，感染機會自然增加，但是，陳俊龍的「五合一療法」卻打破病患體質條件限制。所謂「五合一」意即五刀合一刀，只開一刀就可以完成全部植牙工作，把開刀次數減到最少，人體自然恢復得快，陳俊龍的病患甚至開完刀就可以去吃飯了。
Dr. Leon Chen says that the instruments for dental implant should be the same as the dental implant procedure, namely the simpler the better. The medical instruments he invented and applied for a patent for, already number more than 30. One of those inventions, the “mother-and-son knife,” uses one special knife handle to replace seven surgical knives, and can remove a tooth within five seconds. In addition, he also invented a special drill to reduce the amount of drilling necessary and to shorten the time needed for healing after surgery.
陳俊龍認為，植牙工具跟植牙本身一樣，都是愈簡單愈好，他所發明申請專利的醫療器材即高達30多種，其中一項發明「母子刀」，是用一把有特殊刀柄的刀代替七把手術刀，在5秒內就能將牙齦取出。另外，他也發明特殊鑽頭，把在牙齒上鑽洞的次數減少，縮短開刀的療程。
Dr. Leon Chen says he will continue promoting the simplification of dental implants, making implants as simple as filling teeth. He also wants to promote the computer simulation of dental implants to give dentists more opportunities to practice before actually treating patients. In addition, he also wants to advocate the standardization of dental implant instruments and technology in order to benefit customers.
陳俊龍表示，他將持續推動「植牙簡單化」教學，「讓植牙像補牙一樣簡單」，他也要推動電腦模擬植牙，讓牙醫師在實際接觸病患之前，有更多練習的機會。另外，他還想提倡植牙工具統一及技術統一，以嘉惠消費者。
Dr. Chen, who’s only 44, is never shy about sharing his brand new trains of thought and rich practical experience. He has already become a permanent traveler, moving around the world to lecture, perform surgery, and instruct other doctors. He is young but has already achieved much. Nevertheless, he says he does not consider dentistry as a commercial business. To him, the philosophy of medicine is quite simple: always strive for the best, the fastest, the briefest method of recovery for the patient.
年僅44歲的陳俊龍從不吝於分享他嶄新的思維模式及豐富的臨床經驗，現在的他已成為空中飛人，在世界各地往返講課、執刀，同時也指導其他醫師，年紀輕輕即擁有多項成就，他卻表示，他沒有把牙醫看成商業活動，對他而言，從醫的哲學很簡單：永遠為病患追求最好、最快、最簡潔的治療方式。
