International Volunteer Society of Soochow University in Gracia Feisiang School, Indonesia
Department of Social Work of Tzu Chi University engaged in community services in Thailand.
Despite the outbreak of COVID-19, eight student teams still managed to do their voluntary service during the winter vacation, such as teams flying from International Volunteer Society of Soochow University to Gracia Feisiang School in Indonesia, from Department of Social Work of Tzu Chi University to Chiangmai Tzu Chi School in Thailand, and from SLINT of National Taiwan University to Zhong Xing Chinese School in Chiang Rai, Thailand, among others. With the OCAC’s assistance, they not only provided innovative Mandarin courses to students of those overseas compatriot schools, but engaged in local community services. Their services have received positive feedback and their deeds have promoted citizen diplomacy.
