The airline said in a press release that each route will initially operate two round-trip flights per week.

On Tuesdays and Fridays, flight IT-766 will depart Kaohsiung International Airport at 8:45 a.m., with the return flight IT-767 leaving Kumamoto Airport at 7:50 p.m.

Also on Tuesdays and Fridays, flight IT-794 will depart Tainan Airport at 3:55 p.m., with flight IT-795 departing Kumamoto Airport at 12:40 p.m. on the same days.

On Thursdays and Sundays, flight IT-796 will leave Tainan Airport at 3:20 p.m., while flight IT-797 will depart Okinawa's Naha Airport at 1:30 p.m. on the same days.

Tigerair Taiwan said the new routes are part of an ongoing effort to expand its network and provide travelers with a broader range of destinations.

The airline added that Kumamoto will become its 23rd destination in Japan, and the Tainan-Kumamoto service will mark its first international route departing from Tainan.
