Taiwan has seen an explosion of online scams in recent years. In 2025 alone, fraud rings operating at home and abroad raked in close to $3 billion US dollars in illicit gains. But while Taiwan has stepped up efforts to prevent scams from happening, many survivors say their needs are not being met.
