The IMF has raised Taiwan’s 2026 GDP growth forecast to 10.7%, up from 5.2% in April, driven by surging global demand for AI technology and investment. Taiwan and South Korea now account for more than 60% of global net trade in AI hardware, putting Taiwan at the top of Asia-Pacific’s growth outlook.
